Can Someone Help Me With My Fliptop Please!!

Ok so I installed the Fliptop step by step no problem. The problem is the little white disk that you take out of the original PS2 cover and connect to the fliptop doesnt get to the disk to read it. In Order to get the games to be read I have to apply pressure on the top of the lid and then they are read perfectly. Also when I don't apply pressure to it, it makes really strange noises. I've loosened up screws on the bottom of the PS2 cause I heard that might be the problem but that doesnt work. Anyone Help Me?

try wiggling the whitepeice around. move it side to side to make sure it is in right, or if that doesnt work just put a case or book on top

Dave,I finally had to start playing my games with the flip top open.Just put the game in,then place the white cog on top of it.All my games now work perfectly once again.Both backup's and non-backup's.
