Let me start by saying I did try the search function and couldnt find anything.

That said this is my problem:

I am trying to grab Neo err... One of my favorite movies and every time I try to open the dvd (any of the 3 movies in the series) it gets about halfway done and freezes (with the open process, not the actual backup process as I cant even get that far). All of the other 15 or so movies I have backed up worked fine. Any insight or help would be appreciated.

Could u post the exact error msg also what type of media are u using and do u know what manifacturer is the actual DVD u are trying to backup...

and R u using DVD Decrypter to ripp to the hard drive first???

Have you tried running AnyDVD in the background? Sounds like the disc is encrypted. You can get a 21 day free trial from Slysoft.com. It runs in the background and does all the decryption for you making your life a whole lot easier! Plus, it will handle any copy guard system out there. Definitely worth checking into. I use it with Shrink almost every day and it has worked flawlessly.

I tried that AnyDVD program and it worked flawless (Even picked up the full version)!

I am using DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and now also AnyDVD
