I have been successfully using cd clone and clone dvd2 for many months with no porblems then last week it just stopped working. I have taken my hard drive to a coputer shop and paid money for someone to tell me there is nothing wrong with the software, but it still doesn't burn when i take the hard drive home. Occassionally it will start to burn but continually gets stuck at 1/2%. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as I'm about to throw my computer out the window!!!!!!

Welcome to aD!
Few questions - When clone stop working did you add any new software?
Did you switch the brand of discs you use? What brand are you using?
Is your firmware up to date? Are you receiving an error? Are you multi tasking while copying? More info can help solve your problem.

Thanks for getting back to me unfortunately its a no to all your questions, I am using Datawrite Titanium discs and have been for some time. The driver is up to date Sony DW-U10A. I don't know if this is of any importance but the film I was trying to copy had a small scratch on the disc and then the problems occured??

Datawrite Titanium can be made by some iffy manufacturers - one they use is CMC - probably the worst and may be the cause of your problem. They also use MCC which is one of the best.
Dl this prog to identify the manufacturer:

Do you by chance have the log file from Clone?
Also make sure you are in dma mode and not pio mode. Here's a link:

Thank you so much for your help I changed the discs I was burning onto and it seems to have solved the problem. Fingers crossed it stays that way.

Thanks again.

Not a problem. Happy to hear you're now burning.
Stick with quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim DataLifePlus - this greatly decreases your chances of problems w/ burning.
