Hello!
Some days ago I recorded a movie on dvd+rw. Than I made a copy by DVD Decrypter and now I have it on one .vob file. The first problem is that this movie has many tv commercials, which I want to cut. I found a programme on the internet (Chooper XP) by with I can made from one .vob shorter .vob files. I used it to cut only the movie from .vob file. I got about 5 files. Than I merged them by VOBMerge and now I have these what I wanted - movie without commercials.
The next step is to burn this .vob file with only movie on DVD. I tried to do it by Sonic My DVD. At first I made 2 files from .vob - audio in .ac3 and video in .m2v (I did it by VobEdit). Than in Sonic My DVD I added the .m2v file and join the audio from .ac3 And there appeared my first problem: The audio wasn't synchronized with video :( I added menu and decided to record it on DVD (to check the video and audio quality without looking at synchronization. And what happened: the menu which I made was wonderful, the video didn't loose the quality (as I wished), but unfortunately audio yes. From Dolby Digtal 2.0 384 Kbps I got Dolby Digtal 2.0 too, but only with 192 Kbps. I checked and the .ac3 with I made by VobEdit had 384 Kbps as original. And it wasn't the second problem. And here is my question: What should I do if I want to record this movie, without commercials and (what is the most important) without loosing quality of audio and video, with some nice menu of course. I hope you will find a way to help me.
I am waiting for your answer!
Greetings!

OK...You should be able to cut out the commercials in DVD Shrink. In fact, I'm pretty sure you can do all the work in that one program, as long as you have Nero installed. Instead of a full backup, hit reauthor I think it is, and you should be able to take out things like french audio tracks, commercials, etc.
