Hello,

Apologies in advance if the answer is elsewhere--I've searched but haven't found what was obviously the same problem to a newbie like me.

I've recorded a TV show onto DVD using a regular Sony DVD recorder. Although I recorded it on highest quality (1 hour per disc), and although I have really good quality cable, the playback quality isn't great--a little grainy. I've read the posts that indicate "garbage in/garbage out," but I don't think this ought to qualify as garbage in (or does it?).

Is there any way to get a clearer version? I know how to rip DVDs but not what to do afterwards.

Thanks very much for any help or pointers to guides!
