Who makes a quality printable dvd+r, that's printable all the way to the center. I had some 4x memorex that were that way, but the 8x memorex printables stop at the large hole edge.
thanx, cdan

I got questions but maybe they are a bit out of topic but all about printable discs :P
How to you print on the disc? With printer and special program? Can regular printer let a disc go in from the paper slot? Won't it be too thick? Also, are all clean surface disc printable discs?
@kshark hi :) no a standard printer doesn't
you need something like
Epson R200 or R300 really good
if i read you right in as much as disc's with no inscryption on it
no they are not all printables
kshark, the epson r-200 is a very fine printer. You can get it for $80 at sams club and whenever it is on sale at staples/office depot.Epson also has the r-300 and r-320,it all depends on what bells and whistles you want on it.
These epson cd/dvd printers have a template you place your disc on.Pull down the special tray on left side of printer,insert that template and use the software that comes with it. Very easy once you get all your size dimensions and alignment settings.
Cheap ink cartridges,under $20 a set. Excellent dvd disc labels using the full-hub printables. Excellent album covers,look just like the original.
cdan: If you need those full hub printables in a hurry,Wal-mart has the maxell +8x hitachi made full hubs. Very good MID of Maxell-002-00 and they perform just as good as my verbatim data life plus +8x full hubs.
Thanks for the info gurnard and saugmon.
So not all non-inscryted DVD are printables?
Next time I would have to look more closely at the labels.
Man... I have a canon. Any canon with DVD print tray?
@kshark
In the civilised world, the Canon ip3000 allows you to print CD's via a nifty tray included with the printer.
Where I live, the same model is capable of printing but the access is prevented by a plastic moulding.
Good news is that you can easily remove this nuisance, reprogramme the printer to recognize the cd tray and even make a tray for fifty cents.
I know, I did it.
