First try re-installing before you panic. If that doesnt work, its a possibility that your isp capped it and if they did, contact em, lol

Afraid SoulSeek is dead...courtesy of RIAA. It was a great ride for a while. Nir, the owner of SoulSeek is hunting for another country where the RIAA's clutches can't reach. Guess we can't hold our breath, however, we can hope. Soulseek was almost as good as Audiogalaxy! Direct Connect may have some promise.

Soulseek is NOT DEAD. They are mearly moving servers and will be up and running shortly. I recieved and email from NIR, the creator of Soulseek,on 2/5

I certainly HOPE it isn't dead...it's the BEST p2p out there! But: I understand from the German and Italian Soulseek boards that he is moving servers because of RIAA injunction. That means finding a country/locale not under their thumb...possible, I suppose and I certainly hope he succeeds...for ALL of our benefit!

it appears soulseek were closed down because of complaints from an artist named Sapphirecut,(never heard of her)
they are currently negotiating with another server and just waiting on the deal to be finalised,

Souldseek is pretty cool for music needs yes but the best p2p out there?? No Way!! The best p2p programs are eMule, Direct Connect and Overnet. Even those these ones can be slow the quality of the material on them is excellent =)

I'm just getting the hang of Direct Connect...seems a bit confusing, any tips...?
Also, csmcgt22 & glenn-Oz if you have a closer tap on the situation @ soulseek, can you give us a post here if it's back up & running?
FYI, I have filled spindles of mp3 cds with the gold mines I've found on Soulseek! And plus have helped others do the same.
