Hello this is my first post, before I begin, I am aware that Xenosaga series can be a major headaches for Modded/Hddrive Ps2 users.
I have downloaded a dvd ripped copy of Xenosaga by the ripper named Kalisto, it is amazing as Xenosaga as we all know, is a dual layered dvd9 game that makes it practically impossible to back up.
Anyway this Kalisto version changed the quality of the ingame cinemas(the primary reason to play this game IMO)(BTW unlike another certain dvd9 game God of War)
I have not bothered to use HDLoader or HDadvance because rpg tends to crash alot.
So I burned it using Nero, and wow it works! and for the 10 hours I was having a blast with this game
It could all be roses if weren't for the bug that locks up the game.
During the movie scenes, specifically everything the scene changes in to some sort of council room, the game locks up. The first two times of this instance I was able to skip the movie. But the third time no such luck, and I bought a copy of the game. Finished it end of story.
Now to the real problem, the sequel, Xenosaga episode 2 thankfully was not on dual layered dvd9,
the game had 2 dvds. and when I searched the forum, someone was having problem with them.
Again I have not bothered using HDadvance, and Hdloader and just burned the discs
The game just worked fine, I have a lot of tolerence for loading times.
And now after much whining (I apologize), here is my real problem.
I have beaten the end boss, which means this game worked just fine, right? Wrong.
The problem is after loading up all the movies without any problems, this game locks up out of all places, the Ending movie sequence!
So here I am with a finished game trying to relax and enjoy the Ending of Xenosaga 2, and all I get is black lockup screen, so am I the only one who has this problem? If so how can i fix it, should I burn the game again?
