I have the latest version of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 from Slysoft and successfully made my first backup. However, when I was running through the steps, it only said that I was able to get 51% quality on my new disc.

Is there anyway to "shrink" or compress the movie within this program or some other way beforehand to ensure I can get a better quality final product or should I just burn on udal layered discs (is it worth it?)

Thanks a lot, any help would be appreciated

Make sure you have Only selected the One audio track that you are going to use and also try stripping away the special Features and Subtitles which should lower the File size so there is less Compression Needed and you get better quality.....

Yes this is What Most poeple Do and you pretty much have to because Retail DVD"s Can hold up to 9gb were you can only Fit 4.38gb on a DVD-R so you have to strip out the extra Features and foreign audio tracks and subtitles to get the File down to 4.38gb and if after doing this the DVD still isn"t small enough then the program will add compression so it is small enough to fit on a DVD-R.....
