latest post 11.06.2004(subject thread now closed created new one)

claiming that " decrypter will open up and burn your disc, all from freeware(ya gotta love that)
good luck and welcome to the club .
I have done it too.And it works.
With the only exception that the DVD-Copy created will be recognized
only by a pc dvd/player and not by a plain desktop DVD -Player.
Any one of the members who posted a reply to this thread ???
Please join in and correct me if I am wrong. ! ! !

hmmmmmmm thats an odd post, not to mention old post.
correct you if your wrong about what? I dont see a statement.
my guess is that your dvd standalone won't play the particular format your burning with ie. - or +

Thanks your detailed clarification.
Forgive me if I acted against the general rules, by reviving an old post.
Now that I know I will not attempt it again.
My Standalone DVD player can read both - or + formats.
While my Sony DVDR (DW-U18A) burning with (-) format.
Mind you ,I am facing no problem at all when I rip with DVD Shrink /Dvd decrypter and burn with Nero.
Anyway appreciate for your valuable comments.
Regards,
Altkon

No its no problem bringing back an old thread, next time just copy the link.
If your standalone plays both formats, then my guess would be that your player doesnt like the name brand of dvdr your using.I use Taiyo Yuden, and Verbatim, they seem to be compatible with everything.
You can check out your standalone with this chart.

But even this isn't 100% correct.
