hey i just want to know what the difference from a dvd- and a dvd + and that only some dvd recored can used - or + or it doesnt matter

DVD-R is compatible with most DVD Players.

Some drives with record both DVD+/- discs. Some set top recorders will do the same.

 ... +R and -R formats as long as the media is of good quality, will both play on most DVD players ... On advnatage of the +R format is that you can booktype it (with a drive that supports bitsetting) to DVD-ROM which increased compatability with DVD players (especially the older ones) ...

 ... Most of the newer internal computer drives will burn to both + and - discs ... Only a couple of the set top (stand alone) units will ...
