I just bought this DVD/HDD 160 GB recorder but it doesnt seem to play PAL dvds. Does anybody know of any firmware hacks or is this a problem with all toshiba products?

Some DVD players play only NTSC, other PAL and some both, it all depends. U may want to check for a firmware update or something.
