I've never used eBay but I hear people buy weird things on there. e.g. Someone bought a supermarket carrier bag and another person bought a £1 coin for £5. If you have any experience tell us all here. There must be someone?

i've seen some classics on there, like some twigs, a half eaten biscuit, a bag of air, that radio dj's wife who sold his cherished sports car due to him cheating on her. i've used ebay a lot but there's some scary, deranged people out there

The craziest thing I've ever bought on eBay was a pack of (supposedly) Taiyo Yuden blank dvd-r's. I'm too ashamed to say just how many I bought before finding out the hard way, that they were fakes. Wanna learn a lesson from a fool? Don't buy ANY media on eBay!! I won't say the seller, because You should stay away from any media from any seller on eBay! Buy from sellers suggested on this site and You're chances of getting authentics is better!

I'm sure not all media on eBay is fake either, but Ya gotta ask "is it worth the risk?". To some, maybe, but I'm burnt on it...

You know, if You really analyze it, fake media is kinda like a virus. Whether a virus is for real or a hoax, hoaxes cause problems too. When I started having problems with this fake TY crap I bought on eBay, I thought maybe my firmware was buggy, so I went through that for about two days, then I thought my ASPI was goin' nuts, so I made some changes with that for about two days, then I started questioning my media and bought some Verbatim discs--WHAALAA! I finally found my problem and started investigating. Others who have bought from this same seller that I bought from, have had the same problems. I know because I read alot here on the forums and found someone who had purchased from the same seller on eBay. Anyway, to make a long story longer, I'm sending the fakes back to the guy and getting back some of the money that was ripped off from me. Again, learn a lesson from someone else's mistake...

your right e-bay is NOT the place to buy blank media period why even take the chance stick with supermedia store, meritline, rima or newegg
and as far as buying stuff from e-bay i buy LOTS of music CDs from there you can find really great deals for under 10 buck all the time even new stuff

I've sold quite a bit of media on ebay.I don't sell the cheap crappy kind.Sony and maxells.

Early this year,I sold an attachment for a ryobi weedeater. It was a set of hedge trimmers. By the time the bidder payed ups shipping from ohio to pennsylvania,it was about $80.

During the time span I had them on auction,Lowes home improvement had the same hedge trimmers for $65 on clearance, LOL

My factory I work at sold some used robots on ebay.I didn't have the net during that time so I couldn't see how much they got out of them.

I was reading in a record book once that a guy attempted to sell his family of four on eBay but the auction was closed because it was against rules. Recently in TIME magazine they mentioned that a farmer in China sold 16 dairy cows to pay for wedding expenses, delivery was not included, LMAO!!

There is an archive of the strangest item I ever saw for sale, a human soul.

I am also a fan of Kinza's sig pic. It has to be one of the best animated GIFs I have seen here.
