Mobile Phone Tools working on Windows 98SE? V620? Anyone??

Just wanted to find out if anyone has managed to get MPT v3 actually working on Windows 98SE. If so, HOW DID YOU DO IT??

I have been so frustrated with it and I can only seem to find people discussing XP.

MY PROBLEM:
I can download everything OFF my Motorola V620, but when I try to put any files that are higher than 1kb ON to my phone the computer just completely freezes!

The phone is being recognised ok.
There's plenty of room on my phone, so I don't think that would be it.
I have the P2K driver file, which seemed to help a bit.

One thing that I have noticed though is that the small phone icon in the taskbar just turns grey (as opposed to lit up when reception is good) when I startup "multimedia studio".

Could my problem be that the Motorola USB modem isn't allow transfers over 1kb, or something like that?
