Hi, I'm the newbie :o). I currently have a DVD that was sent to me from England and is coded PAL. Can I use DVD Decryptor to read it, then change the region to burn it? Do I have to get some sort of patch? When I go into Tools and IFO, click Region Free, it takes me to my hardrive ???... Please help, I am dying to see this DVD on my TV.
Thanks in advance,
Sharky

Even though your backup would be region free it would still be in the PAL format and may not play in a NTSC player. Some players will play both formats and some will not. I would try the backup the way it is first and if it won't play then convert it to NTSC. I've used Nero and Avi2DVD to convert successfully before. You could also use a program called The Film Machine, but I have not tried it yet.
