Convert an .ISO FILE to .AVI, mpeg ...etc

how do I convert an .ISO image file to say AVI, mpeg or any smaller form anyone have any ideas ?

I want to take this 4gb .ISO image and shrink it -

You need first to extract what's inside the iso:

If it contains e.g. Audio_TS and Video_TS folders, then you may rip the files into avi(e.g. Divx) or mpeg with programs like ImtooDVD Ripper.

Hey thanks for the reply back!

I'm assuming I needed to rip a DVD to .ISO ..unless you know of another way to take a DVD directly to mpeg or AVI or anything for that matter ?

I want to make it small going to use a media "lending" software like http://www.xtme.net the software needs to crunch it to .nsv format so I need it to be 600 mb vs. the 4 gb it was in .

Like I said, you may try Imtoodvd ripper, a very nice program for converting dvd into AVI or mpeg directly.
