My DVD Shrink will not do anything when I click Open Disc it gives an error message that reads Failed to read file "D:/" Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

Welcome to the forum,
Clean the disk real well. Make sure there are no bad scratches and then Rip the DVD to HD using DVDDecrypter or DVDFab Decrypter. If there are read errors then DVDDecrypter will show that when it decrypts the movie. If there are read errors then it is either scratches or a bad press and you need to take the movie back for another copy. If all s OK then use Shrink to do Movie only. You can also use AnyDVD in conjunction w/ Shrink
