I've got some questions about USB Extreme

I have a few questions about USB Extreme and how it works.

1. Does it matter which brand name my external harddrive is?
2. Once I have an external harddrive, is USBeXtreme the only thing I need?
3. Is there a list of games that do/do not work with the USB Extreme?
4. What are the drawbacks of the USB extreme?
5. Is it simple to use?

i used it few days to find out less then 50% of the game i have backup up and working great with swap magic wont work with USB extreme
