EDIT: I've discovered what the problem was myself. I'm stupid. I was failing to realise that I coud move highlight option and onto the load. Still, feel free to have a laugh at my expense below:

Okay so I've got myself Swap Magic V 3.6 and the slide tool. Sliding the tray in and out is proving no problem at all.

Here's what I have done so far:

Put Swap Magic DVD version in the PS2 and loaded.

Screen appears with something about video mode selection

Pull out Swap Magic disc and put original US Katamari Damacy disc in (in attempt to play it)

Nothing seems to be on screen about actually loading. Seemingly every button press on the joypad changes the video selection between normal, NTSC and PAL. The option at the bottom associated with square is special boot but pressing that just results in video mode change again.

Care to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Years have gone on inbetween but all I know at 17 is all I know. Through times of joy and suffering, the music flavours everything, that's all I know now.
