i've burn a lot of movies with shrink and decrypter, but now it is starting to take a little more than 2 hours just to encode!! and 1.5 hours to burn!! ive uninstalled them both then installed them twice, ive saved the movie to my c drive then burned with decrypter and it still takes long. the dvds are burning but they are takign wayy tooo long.

Try freeing up some memory on your computer.

Check your IDE controllers in your device manager. They may have reverted to PIO mode. They should be set to DMA mode.

also, currently i am encoding ladder 49 with shrink and i have AnyDVD open in the back. when i click on my computer, then my c drive, there is somehting there next to ladder 49 called ffastunt/find fast index. is this related to AnyDVD or dvdshrink in any way? does anybody have this?

To get to device manager, right click on My computer then press properties. Then go to hardware tab and press device manager. To free up memory close all background applications, or even if you wanted to try the copy in Safe Mode.

That's part of MS Office. It's a "find" utility that has built an index/database of all of your Office documents, i.e. *.DOC, *.XLS, *.PPT, etc, etc. Think of it as a Google Desktop Search that only works with Office docs....

You can probably do without it completely.
