I know it might sound stupid but..help me out I tried to go to radio shack to get a dc converter thing so I can use the test lights but no luck there...so I'm pretty sure its all in there good..plz help

On screen message: Start your PS2 (after having installed the chip) and press and hold the square button - you'll then get a message on the TV saying something like "DMS4 disabled - reset your console". Do as this message says. Then you need to flash your chip using the Toxic OS program as the mod chip can't (legally) play back ups in it's factory state.

I have the same problem as Oneill618. i installed my ezi lite on my v5 ps2 and when i turn it on i get a solid red screen. i can press reset about 7 times and it boots up as normal but it won't play a backup. and when i hold the square button it does nothing different. i received no information about the chip when i got it so any help would be greatly appreciated. i also tried to flash toxicBIOS but i got the RSOD Red Screen of Death.

I fixed everything and my chips works great but sometimes when I hit reset it doesn't want to load up the games so I have to turn it of an on etc...untill the disk tray will open but besides that the ezi pro is wonderfull took about 20 mins to put in and now I have all my lovely backups on my HD I would recommend it to anyone that doesn't want to solder...

Oneill618, how did you fix yours? i still don't know how to operate mine? the test lights are all green so i'm pretty sure it's not a wiring problem. is it possible that it didn't come with a operating system on it? but that wouldn't prevent me from installing toxic bios would it?

all I did was just press down on my clips again to make sure there were on well and I heard another click so I'm assuming one was not on all the way I was just a little cautious pressing on my clips because I didn't want to damage the board/clips/anything else that could happen. Then I just made a cd with toxic on it and it booted right up and its been nothing but smooth sailing from here since my older bro gave me a new HD so I've been playing with that I think my email is on so you can see it I know I can't just say my email because I think its against the forum rules but email me if you have any problems I'll try to help you out. I know I got frustrated because I wasn't really getting much help..

Once you get the 'DMS4 Disabled' message just reset your console - don't hold down anything on the joy pad. Then flash with Toxic OS and away you go. If you're having problems with your version of Toxic OS then I would suggest down loading Toxic OS from another source and then see how you go from there. You got the DMS4 disabled screen so you've installed the chip correctly.
