- all my software is up-to-date as of last night
- I have backed up many movies in the past successfully
- I use dvd shrink and dvd decrypter

- I can easily decrypt Sin City to my hard drive but am having problems with "shrinking" it

- when it comes to encoding it is taking 10+ hours and then failing at the burning stage

-please help me or direct me to a thread that can help :)

p.s. I have also tried using DVD FAb to decrypt the movie to my hard drive but am still having the same problem in shrink with encoding..

Download AnyDVD and install it. Let it run in the background. With it, I've been able to backup all the new movies I have. ALMOST be willing to bet that it'll take care of your problem. It has a 21 day free trial. Costs $39 after that. Best $39 I've spent in a long time............

Thanks for the advice JVC but my problem is that I had AnyDVD in the past .. ie. months ago .... and its long expired and I don't have the money to purchase it :(

@jake180, I would definitely try AnyDVD. Agree completely with JVC that it is the best $40.00 I spent. It has handled any movie I shoved at it, no problems. I have made 750 back-ups. I would also try Intervideo Copy 3 (trial 21 day download) it cost $ and typically we are trying the free items, yet I like the prog. a lot, yet I would have to say that Rebuilder Pro (w/ a free encoder like HC by Hanks!) is pretty awe-some! Try AnyDVD and see if it changes the outcome and the processing...download AnyDVD at www.slysoft.com

@jake180, Sorry I type too slow. Tyr RegionFree+CCS Free. Download a trial at DVDIdle.com. I used that in the beginning. It also worked flawlessly. I just prefered AnyDVD because they upgraded it very quickly to decrypt the newest Encryption (Like Sony ACCos). I had used DVD43, but with my system it caused too many problems.
