Sorry if in the wrong place. Tried a search on WINDV and got completely frustrated (i'm 71).Back on May 11 I received a lot of good advice from this site on the above topic.I C&P the relevant info in the posts. When you are 71 it can take a while to get around trying some of the suggestions. One post stated "Transfer, not capture the DVavi file from your camera to your HD" (using WINDV a free SW app). What is the difference between capture and transfer ?
When I open WINDV there appear to be only 2 options: Capture from DV device or Record to DV device.
So how do i TRANSFER with this app ? Also there are several boxes to select settings but no help file to explain these. Is there a guide to using WINDV ? TIA anyone for your help and patience with me. Yrnehbad
