What DVD media should I use for a Toshiba D-R4?

I just got a Toshiba D-R4 DVD Recorder from a co-worker that didn't want it...she found it to be too complicated for what she wanted.

The Toshiba D-R4 uses DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD-RAM. My question is what type DVD media should I use DVD-RW or DVD-RAM for just recording TV shows? (not interested in keeping the shows)

If you want to be able to erase it,you'll want the dvd dash rws. Get some good ones like maxell.They are around a buck apiece.

Office depot has the maxell -rws on sale, Buy 1 pack and get identical pack free!

I don't think the DVD-Ram is as readily available as the DVD-RW. I'd stick with -RW. You may want to check with Toshiba and see if they recommend a certain brand or speed. My Pioneer/Tivo is pretty picky when it comes to media. It won't handle the faster -RW stuff.
