I was wondering if anyone seems to have a advice on this topic: The CPU in question is a 1.2ghz P3, 512 mb Ram, 128 mb Vid card, on board sound, running XP home ED, etc.
For reasons unknown to me, this thing runs pretty freakin slow!!
I literally wait over 1 minute before IE will even open, as is with other programs.

General performance is great when running programs (games, etc) but it just seens like it takes forever!!

I know XP is a memory hog, and I do have Win 2K as another option, but will going to 2000 make a difference?

I know Im at the 1.2ghx P3 threshold, so is a P3 a bad idea for a XP?
