I ripped the DVD to my hard drive with DVDdecrypter so it came out in VOB IFO and BUP files... total was about 6.5gb (seems kind of large?). After that I went into Auto Gordian Knot, chose File Input and pointed it at the first VOB file, which was VTS_01_0.VOB. Then I set it to a custom size of 1,200mb (which is just an arbitrary number because I have no idea what a good size would be...), left audio and subtitles alone and told it to start. All I want to do is have copies of my DVDs on my hard drive in a manageable size (~1,000mb or less preferably), is this the fastest and most efficient way of doing this or is there a better way? Also, what size should I tell AutoGK to make the output file? I put in 1,200 but now that I think about it something like 800 - 900 seems like it should work just fine. and one more question... would DVD Shrink be helpful at all in this process?

Edit: this can't be right... it's taking several hours for the whole process.

U have done the first step in the process.. U need to use DVD Shrink to compress the movie so it can fit on a single layer disc... U can either read thease 2 guides i am posting for u or read the guide posted in my sig...
