Forgive me for being new here and if anyone has any time to answer this it would be great. I have a 2 year old ps2 and I want to copy ps2 cames and play them on my ps2 i dont want to open my ps2 and install a MOD chip i was looking for another way. If thats possible and I do buy that what computer software do you use to burn the back ups of games... I have brand new DVD burner and i would be using DVD-R discs.. If anyone could give me some suggestions that would be awesome thanks

Other than modding the PS2, you could try a Swap Magic disc. It's a lot more trouble in the long run and not as compatible with some games, though.

the matrix infinity and the DMS series are the two mods that are the best. the do practically everything and don't wear on the BA chip inside the ps2.

the dms pro is solderless, fairly easy installation but it doesn't work on the slims.

matrix infinity has 20 or so wires to solder on. soldering can be treaky.

other than that use swap magic discs. pain having to swap though.
