Hi

How do you copy psx2 games from original ?
i have a modd chiped psx2 and i have been using action replay v2 and its worked fine on teh cdr's i was getting off my mate but how do i burn them myself??????
i can download full games but again how do i burn them to fit on a cdr or can i burn to dvd if so will it work
Do i need to patch and if so what is this

it is best off to burn them to a dvd there seems to be alot of booting problems wen buring to cd-r

it also depends wt kind of format u are downloading the games
AKA
are they already in an image or are they the ful files etc

a good and very east software to use to back origanals is dvd decriptor
you can download it from here

all you have to do is click mode

mode/ iso /read and then select were you would like to save the image i suggest on the desktop so u nkow were it is.

and then click mode/ iso /write and then select the image you riped up off the origanal and the click the hd to cd logo and then WALA! complete very easy and quick this has always worked for me. hope this helps.

Moby cheers for the info a straight answer at last !

i tried dvd d and it worked fine! , the only problem is i can't get my ps2 to read a dvd copy for some reason it only like's cdr
i posted a msg on another thread explaining that it would be great if i could somehow shrink the data or remove dvd extra's or game movie files to make it fit a cdr, i was getting games that were either done this way or it was on 3 cdr's. I know dvd is better but i'm really stuck on how to make them work - might be better to get rid of my ps2 and get a newer model and a swap card thing ???? last resort if i can't work this problem out !!

sorry for being thick! again! i can build a pc from scratch but i can't do this!!!!

i can send you a quick guide to download sites if you want but i'm not sure if i will be breaking rules???? i keep getting told off !

Downloading games is piracy and it is not allowed on afterdawn, just a warning so no more posts asking about downloading games or a mod might ban you :( But i hope you enjoy your stay here at afterdawn :

i use swap magic 3.6 and a slide card which is very easy to use and i think it was about £17 brand new off ebay.

glad my info helped.
did you say you used to get your ganes off a friend. why not ask him and see if he will tech you how do to it.
