Help with HDD Installation!

I just got my slim ps2 modded with a dms4 pro chip(toxic 0.3) and i also have the hd-connect installed, now i just need some guidance on how to install games on the hdd, just bought a 80gb hdd, can someone tell what i need to do next, do i need to install other applications? appreciate any feedback.

not sure what hd-connect is but just load it up and go copy game. if theres something else please inform me more.

You will need to format the hdd into a Ps2 file system so you can install games and play them, you will need usb extreme so that you can do the format, you can also use WinHIP PC to format and transfer the games to the hdd, you will still need usb extreme to boot the hdd unless you mod chip can boot it.

Ok i have the Winhiip program, do i need to connect the hdd to the pc via a ethernet cable to transfer the game to the hdd?

You can do it like that but you can also just plug the hdd into the PC and use WinHIP

ok, just trying to figure this out, so when you say plug it to the pc, do you mean that i have to open up the pc and plug the hdd on the inside?

Right ok, you need to hook it up to the PC as a slave drive which just means you need to take the little plastic header off the pins at the back of the hdd then just connect it to the IDE cable that your PC hdd is connected too, after that you need to use WInHIP to view the Ps2 hdd and then you can transfer images of games that are on you PC.
