Well ur answer to this problem is the name of this forum. Dvd Shrink and with the help of DVD Decrypter to make the image, should make it an easy task. If that combo cant handle your job then youll need to make use of AnyDVD which bypasses copy protection on most DVDs. Have a read around the threads and in no time youll be a pro.

If you have AnyDVD installed DVD Shrink will do it all for you.

The Ring 2 has nothing special on it. You may have a bad press or scratched/dirty disc and this is why 1 click is skipping sectors.
My suggestion would be to rip w/ Decrypter - shrink w/ shrink - then burn w/ Decrypter.
Decrypter should be able to handle this disc w/o AnyDVD. If it can't and you have tried cleaning the disc then exchange for a new one.

try some better programs
make sure your system is clean
as in a disc cleanup and a defrag.
burn at 4X max.(really important)
use good blank media
Taiyo Yuden,Verbatim or Ritek or stuff that codes out as TY

I'm with aabbccdd, try the combo (free trial from www.slysoft.com) and then try the backup. Skipping sectors makes me think of bad pressing, dirty or scratched disk. I back my copy of The Ring 2 by using Intervideo Copy 3 and CloneDVD 2, both with AnyDVD in the background. No problems. Burned with two different progs...Nero and Copy to DVD. I like a copy in two different areas and I can help with a multitude of programs when needed.
p.s. Not knocking 1 click, but I have it and in my experience it doesn't match the quality of Intervideo or CloneDVD 2. Try the trial downloads 1st, get the feel and make sure they work with your system. Hope this helps
