How long time does it take to rip a DVD to Xvid?

I was just wondering how long time does it take to rip a DVD (only movie) to Xvid?

I'm using SimpleDivx... From I press start to the movie is done?

Depends on how fast your PC is and How long the Movie is and what resolution you are converting to and if you are doing one Pass encodeing or Multipass encodeing.....

Alright, lets say It's a 1:30 min. movie, my PC is Celeron M 1.3 GHz.
It's a 2 pass encoding with good quality. How much time will it take approx.?

Well With a Slower System Like that it Could take up to 4 to 6 hours.....

No Kidding. I had a Celeron 2.7GHZ Processor and tried to make a 30min video at around 975kbps, and it took about 9 hours! IMO, you should try something that has a little more power, like an Athlon XP or Pentium 4. I know you are using a laptop, but this kind of process usually works better if you have a fast desktop to encode with.
