I am putting together a media presentation using clips submitted by a number of people (m2v/wav formats). Does TmpgEnc DVD have a setting that will put black space between these clips - or must I ask everyone to go back, redit their submissions, put their own black space at the beginning or end & resubmit?

Thanks.

It's easy to do.
Make an mpeg recording of black, with fade out and in if you like.
Put it inbetween each segment during authoring.

How do I prevent TMPGEnc from associating buttons (or titles) with the black space clips in the main menu?

The goal is to be able to play all the presentations through, with some added black space between each one. However, we also want a main menu, because sometimes we may only want to play one or two.

Menu should look like

Presentation 1
Presentation 2
Presentation 3

Play All

I do not want the main menu to have buttons for the black space tracks - just these 3. Right now the software treats the black spaces as sep. tracks.

Does this make sense?

Yes, it makes sense. Just remove the links to the black spaces, and append them to the end (or beginning, or both) of each actual movie.
I'm not sure how to do this in TDA, but it's extremely simple in DVDLab.
