PS2 Rips CD to DVD Problems

OK. I know this has been covered here somewhere but I can't find it again. Also, I have followed the advice of what I could find here and it didn't work, well it somewhat did.
I have a few PS2 Rips on CD and every once in a while they freeze up in game or right when the game boots. So I thought maybe putting them back to DVD would help.
The guy that created them created a menu that allows you to choose between PAL, PAL 60 and NTSC (my region is NTSC). I extract the files with ISOBuster then I scan them with DVDScanLite 3.7. I restore the original settings to the files that have an original and the files that have been patched to CD I patch to DVD. I then load the files up into Nero and burn.
When I boot the game the guy's menu comes up but when I select NTSC the game never loads. Any ideas or should I forget it??

i'd forget it.. here's food for thought... u have a dvd burner?.. u have a cheap movie store in town!?.. hey i didnt give you any ideas; dont listen to me i'm just another good guy making backups of my legally purchased discs :)

Actually I am in a big 24 hour city. You would think they would have every game you can think of to rent. I can't find the game anywhere. I would rent it, just to rent it and play it. If a new version of a game comes out here for example THUG and then THUG2, THUG only stayed up on the shelves for a couple more months and then it was gone.

are u just burning the files or did build them back into an iso, use cd/dvd gen and put the files in there then create an iml file then use apache 2 to load it then build the iso.

I burned the files with Nero set on DVD-ROM UDF/ISO like the info said that I found here. I have tried it with 2 other rips now and it worked. I just can't get this one with the menu to work.

I just got ahold of a full version backup of this same game without the menu. I have tried burning it 6 different ways. I get the same problem but with this version I can't even get in game. I can get past the first boot screen as before by pushing X if I don't push X it freezes. When the game is on the loading screen it just freezes I can't do anything. I'm at a loss for what to do.

are you using the correct swap method?.. what kinda mod do u have?... explain to everyone how you are ripping/burning your backup and what programs you are using
