Which mini DVDs works with backups?

Ok lets say I get some gamecube ISO's on my PC and they are ready to burn to a mini DVD, the question is, which brand of mini DVD's should I get and is the size of them 1.46 or 1.4GB? Also does the media have to be -R or +R?

So far I've only tried Fujifilm mini DVD-R. With this type of media some most of my backups work fine, some not at all, some start running then freeze. I have a qoob modchip, firmware 1.3c, and the POT on my laser set to 180. For the games that don't work or freeze i'm going to try the Ritek mini DVD-R.
