Gotta get some new DVD-Rs
I have had loads of problems with Bulkpaq Green - will only burn up to 4.0Gb - after that I get errors.
Are the Datawrite 1x Yellow Top DVD's any good for burning in an A05?
Thanks,
Chris.

I've bought some of the Datawrite Yellow Top DVD+R media, and it is pretty good.
I've use it with an NEC 1000A external DVD+R/+RW writer.
Good place to buy - www.bigpockets.co.uk. They are selling 25 for £35 including delivery!

are you buying DVD-R or DVD+R?
If you are buying DVD+R, where do you get 50 for £30 from?

ordered 50 of these from digitalpromo, they work fine with PC, but my xbox can only read about half the data.
ie. only 3 out of 6 movies burned to disk work on xbox, pc reads all.

I found these yellow tops only good for PS2 & xbox.
in stand alone players it goes pixelated after about an hour.
Email me if I don`t reply to a previously answered post. I`m probably fishing :)

csayers, what operating system are you using? I understand that win98 has a 4.0 gb file limit. Perhaps this is the root of the problem and no the media??? Just a thought.

Havent tried the FWS 4x, but I have the 1x they are a good disc, also maybe you could try the Traxdata (purple ones) they only burn at 1x but again are a good disc. I have recently bought some unbranded discs from my local shop, they are brill even plays movies on a PS2 (which are very choosey)..

Ive tested these discs using AO5 and found that they are unusable on my xbox, wont read them at all. They are infact the same disc manufactured by Princo that are also sold under the Discrite brand which claims to be ps2/xbox compatible. The FWS/DVD master 4x discs with the darker dye are excellent, cost a liul more but worth it imo.

i have the version 4 with a no solder modchip,
swap magic, and gameshark,
i can boot cd-r games fine using nero and
copy on the fly.
i also have backed-up one dvd-r game using the same
method only with dvd-r's and a dvd burner and
boot with swap magic, it works great. It is called March Madness 2003 it is EA. i also tried backing up nba live 2003 (also EA), but froze at the start up screen showing the pic of Jason Kidd, i compared it on my pc and it is an identical copy, do i need to patch this game?
if so how do i patch it, and where do i get the patch, DO NOT SAY MEGAGAMES, i tried it but they do not have crap
please send me more info
thanks in advance

I have not been able to get one of these discs to burn properly. dvd movies always corrupt either in the middle or at the end of the film.
I would recommend Ritek 4x media with the darker dye.
