Although,i think i found the reason why,i want to tell you my problem first.

Had an .AVI file and converted it to DVD (i think thats where i messed up).

Used Nero to burn the disc.Everything plays fine on Power DVD with the original file, but when i play the disc the sound is delayed.

Now for the possible answer

Well if your AVI file uses VBR MP3 audio then it will allways go out of Sync after converting the AVI to DVD, To avoid this you must Decompress the audio in the AVI file before you convert it to DVD...

"You can decompress the audio in your AVI by useing "Virtual-Dub"..

What you do is Load in your AVI file and you should get a Message saying that the audio is VBR Mp3, then you set the Video" to "Direct Stream Copy" and then set the "Audio" to "Full processing Mode" and then go to "File" to "Save as AVI"a dn Give the File a Name and save it and in a Few Minutes you will have a New AVI file with Decompressed audio that should Not go out of Sync after converting it to DVD.... "

--------

Did i mess up not using Virtual-Dub to decompress the audio before converting the file? However, they stated thats if the .AVI file uses VBR MP3 and mine just says MPEG Layer-3.Is that the same thing or is their a difference? If so then will the same thing apply for me? Thanks,Gdubya.

Yes, That is Probably were the Problem is...VBR MP3 audio is used in Most Downloaded AVI Files these Days which it shouldn"t be because the Direct show AVI Standard Doesn"t Properly support the Format....

You should Decompress the audio in your AVI files before Converting to DVD.....
