What file are you trying to load in the program? If its an AVI file or an img or ISO file it wont load it up. It wants you to point to the Vudeo_TS folder.

If its an ISO or IMG file then download ISOBuster and load the file in that program and extract it to another folder which should give you the Video_TS folder.

If its an AVI file then you have to convert it to DVD format for it to load up in the program

If you have Nero with Nerovision express you can use that as well. That is what i use to convert AVI into DVD

i have tested nero and the quailty isnt as good as film machine / avi2dvd which can both use CCE (which i use) cce is £2000 worth of encoder.

both apps come with there own encoders, use HCEnc...a good all rounder...

i tried DivXtoDVD and it worked, but i can only play it on computers. i tried it on my dvd player which normally plays burned dvds and it said the disk is unrecognizable. but on my sisters computer and mine, the disk works.

also, ive done it on Nero, and i do not like it at all.

if i got Film machine or Avi2dvd will i have this problem ?

Another possible way is:

1) Use "TMPGEnc" (or "TMPGEncPlus") to convert the .AVI (DivX-compressed or otherwise) to compliant MPEG2-for-DVD format - You can use "TMPGEnc's" DVD wizard/template to accomplish this.

2) Use "TMPGEnc DVD Author" (a different program than "TMPGEnc") to easily create the required additional DVD files and structure (and chapters and a menu, if you wish).

**If the combined file size of the DVD "package" written to your hard drive is greater than 4.37Gb, use DVD Shrink to compress it down to fit on your recordable media.

If your operating system (O/S) is either Win2000 or WinXP, TMPGEnc DVD Author can also burn your DVD. Otherwise, use Nero to burn in "DVD-Video" mode - Tutorial Located here on how to do this: http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=221453#p...

what app did you use to burn? as DivXtoDVD works good! it could be media related your standalone doesnt like it? or the folder structure is wrong?

divxtodvd is like avi2dvd / film machine they output iso or files to burn to dvdr, thats why i think it may be another problem and not the apps.

@jmw1201

Your not supost to put your e-mail address in the forum its agaisnt the rules so edit it out and if you want to know how to back up DVD movies go to the top part of the forum and search the guides that tell you how to do it. Your not going to get information from me unless you have helped yourself and searched for guides to show you how to back them up. Then if you have a problem after trying and have a specific question then we will help.
