Hi,

I am fairly new to this but have read a great deal as I have had a number of problems.

But I would like to ask others thier process in coverting captured MPEG2 video to a DVD.

My plan is to :

1. Capture to MPEG2 via capture software from the TVCard.
2. Edit each MPEG2 into episodes\chapters with WinProducer, into smaller MPEG2's.
3. Combine all the MPEG2's into a newly arranged larger MPEG2 with Video Studio 6
4. Compress to fit one disk ... any tips ?
5. Then burn to DVD.

Unfortunately I get errors breaking down each chapter (point 2), at the compilation process of : "memory could not be written\read" ... anyone with any ideas here ?

Secondly, when compiling a group of MPEG2's with Visual Studio 6, they sometimes are reported as 'Invalid Format' when attempting to load into the project.

could these peices of software not be able to handle splitting a 3GB file into portions and is Visual Studio not able to load a series of 1-2GB files into a larger 5+GB movie ?

A nice hard shove in the back would be appreciated.
