What is the best way to transfer ps2 images to the HDD? which program and method....Can you put already onlines patched images (DNAS) to the HDD to play online?

I have a laptop, so is there a way to transfer the images to the HDD via USB or Ethernet directly to the HDD installed in the ps2?

Thanks

Alemonty

Either USB-to-IDE adapter and WinHIIP or combination of hdl_dump client on PS2 and hdl_dumb on PC (send over network). The second method requires you to be able to execute ELFs on the PS2 (exploited memcard, swapmagic 3.6, or modchip) and knowledge of network topology.

Thanks for the replies

Is there a tutorial somewhere to transfer the images with hdl_dumb via network? or someone that knows?

Also can you patched online images and play them from the HDD?

There are two guides that will teach you how to do this:

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/122897

and the latter parts of

http://www.mikestyle.com/tutorials/exploit.htm

Hopefully they'll be enough to get you through to it. They assume your PC and PS2 are connected by a hub/router/that kinda thing.

Hello,
Does the USB to IDE Adapter need a power adapter? I've seen several kinds of cables, some with power cord and some without...and I'm not sure if it is necessary to have it so it will work properly.
