my ps2 isn't turning on!!

ok i opened up my ps2 to fix the drive becasue it wasn't going out or coming in so i fixed that and then the silver ribbon coming from the eject and power on button unplugged out of this little slot however i got it plugged back in and it turned on fine but then i tried turning it ont he next morning and it didn't turn on so i took it apart again and the silver ribbon fell out of the slot so i put it back in as far it can go into the slot and this time i didn't put it together but it still didn't turn on so i out it together and it didn't turn on still its about 2 years old can anyone help me plz?

check the ribbon cable over carefully. a lot of times when someone puts the system back together. a screw goes through the eject/reset cable and then thats it.
