Hi i am modding a slim ps2 with a dms4 lite mod chip, on another thread i asked a question about whether i needed to solder points r,s,t,v, and c. i was told that i dont need to solder r,s, t(unless i want dvd-rw) or C because thats for regular ps2's. But i was told that i NEEDED to solder V. But the tutorial online that tells me were to solder what, says that V is for Japan - here is were i am looking. http://www.console.com/_playstation_2/ps2_dms4/ps2_dms4_v12_insta...

could someone please let me know the truth before i put this thing back together, thanks

I soldered point V on my V10 PS2. As far as I know you must solder Point V because it's one of the cdvd data points. I don't know what wires R & S are for but I know that T is for DVD-RW.
