Ive used Decrypter and Shrink for a few months with no problems, first I was getting I/O errors on Decrypter when it started to burn. So I reinstalled everything, updated the dvd burner and now it will go through all everything and will say it burns, and it looks like the DVD was burnt, but it wont load in the DVD player. We use high quality DVD's, I believe they are dual-layers. It all has worked well before, but now we are having problems. If anybody can help, I appreciate it! Thanks.

eltipton, question: Is the media you are burning on DL? What brand (I have no problems with verbs!)? Many stand alones are not good at playing back DL. I use Intervideo Copy 3, CloneDVD 2, and mostly Rebuilder Pro/CCE Basic then burn with Nero. All of them handle dual layers great (again in my situation!) the all play on all my players. DVDBack23 had a great ?...speed! What speed? Many on here will encourage everyone to burn at 4x or slower. I never burn faster than 4x. We all try to help one another that's why we are all here!

If you are indeed burning to "Dual Layer" (DVD-9) disc, there is no need to use DVD Shrink. Just do a ISO Read then a ISO Write in DVD Decrypter to make a 1:1 identical copy.

Dual Layer media is new on the market so, alot of players will not (was not designed to play it)play it.

Ive tried burning at 4X or slower. Yesterday we went thru about 10 dvd's b/c it would start to burn then give us an error. Dont know what brand the DVDR's are, they are just silver top, the spindle doesnt have the name on it either. They came from the news station that my fiance works for. He says they are expensive like 50 bucks or so for 30 of them. We have a plextor dvd burner hooked up by either USB or firewire. Never had any problems w/ burning DVDs till now. We have a few dvds that we use *that are dual layer* and they play just fine in the dvd player.

Actually, 50 for 30 is not a bad deal for DL, but if having problems, u should try writing DVD+RW which can be erased and rewritten...

HIGHLY UNLIKELY that they are actual DL disc! I pay $27.00 for 50 Taiyo Yuden DVD+R. And they are top of the line. Its more like 5 for $30 when buying "Dual Layer" blank media.
