I have Pinnacle Studio 9. I think its great, have very few problems ever, and it makes GREAT home movies. And its cheap; you can usually get it at Best Buy or Circuit City for $50 bucks or so.

Really I was thinking in the direction of Adobe premier cause I have backed up version of it somewhere in the house. But the program is to damn complex for my understanding.

So where could I find info on Pinnacle Studio 9. I know that the companys webpage would work but what I mean is where could I find info from regular people that use it day to day. It would be much easier. By the way do you guys know if theres a trial version of the program if so where could I get it. I would like to try it out if I decide to purchase the application.

Well, there a few posts here that are telling you its ez to use and works well. I have used Pinnacle 8 and 9 for about 2 years. Trial and error, but it comes with a 200 page manual that explains what do do in simple terms. You wont be dissapointed. When I first bought it, I hooked up my DV camera and went to work. I tried different things from time to time, and learned how to do many things.

I have moved all my family VCR movies onto DVD.

Its good, easy and cheap.

Maybe you should think about the question you asked to start with.

No mention of your inclination towards Adobe Premier Pro at all. You have also said it yourself, this is not an easy program to work with, hence all the after sales training that can be purchased. I use Adobe Premier all the time, and once it is mastered there is probably nothing better to use. But for general use with good results, with the advantage of being easy to use, you are not going to get any better than Pinnacle 9. If you really think that you need help to use Pinnacle, then you definately need to stay away from Premier, My 7 year old has even managed to produce a school play using Pinnacle. As you are already aware, you don't get a trial version of Pinnacle, they don't need to try and coax people into buying the software is already well known and respected. Here is the link to the Premier Pro trial good luck. http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp#product=98 One last thing, if you really can't get the support to talk you through the software click by click, then do what most other people have to do RTFM.
