Hi I just did some research about converting DVD Files (.vob) to AVI or any other file that I can edit on my Pinnacle Software (wich it's an video editing software but doesn't support the files from my DVD).

So I ask which will be the best program to do it with best quality and I got some reply's about TMPGEnc 3.0 Xpress. But when i try to open DVD files i can't, unless I go " Source Wizard -> Add a source from a dvd video -> select my dvd driver -> and them i got this error The select DVD contains audio track which cannot be converted."

if i continue with it will get the videos image but no sound.

Any Help Please

Any others program that will gt me high quality videos from DVD (.vob) to avi and later i'll edit it and burn back to a dvd.

Thank's

Could be you are missing a codec on your system. I use TMPGEnc Plus rather than Xpress but one tactic I use often is to drop my video on
GoldWave 4.26 and Save As 16 bit signed stereo .wav file. Then in TMPGEnc Plus I input the video file, then the .wav file as the audio input. It can get you by some audio types TMPGEnc doesn't like to handle.

See if you can find out what audio codec is used. Try dropping your video on AviCodec freeware and see what it gives for audio codec.
