I have a ps2 with a due2se mod chip...or something very similar to that. I don't remember the exact wording. I have successfuly downloaded, burned, and played games before. I have had issues with a couple games where the screen is black and white and loops from top to bottom like an old tv when it quite yet wasn't on the channel. Now is this a problem with my dvd, burner, software, ps2, mod-chip, or anything else. I use Alcohol 120% to burn images and have done it before successfully, but i can't get a couple to work with the above problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has already been asked.

Thanks greatly,
Ben

It sounds to me like the chip is on the wrong region setting if that's possible?
Usually you get the things like you're describing when you put a game from the wrong region into your ps2. But according to spec the duo 2 se should auto detect region etc.
Sorry I can't be more help. hopefully someone else will have a solution to your problem.

yeah, only time that has happened to me was when
playing PAL games on my NTSC system. The mod chip
should fix that, but it will not always.
My DMS4 Pro will play most of them fine, but there are
still a few that it won't.
There is a patching program out there PALtoNTSC patcher
you can patch the ISO file and then burn it.
it should solve that problem.

Thanks for the excellent response. I searched for PAL-NTSC converters, but have only found those that do movies. Would one of these work for a ps2 image file or do I need something special? If you know of any good programs, could you please let me know.

Thanks soo much,
Ben
