Eyetoy cameo doesnt work

Hi i have a backup copy of Formula One 2005 and i tried using the eyetoy cameo to create a player with my face on it. Well i selected the points where it asked then clicked create and then it came up with an error. I have also read that other people are also experiencing this problem as well.

Does anyone know of why this happens? Is there some sort of patch that will allow me to use the cameo on backed-up games?
