hdl 7c run within hdadvance?

So I am trying to get God of War to boot off of my hard drive using HDadvance 2.0. I've read that I need hdl v.7c, which I downloaded as an ISO from ps2hd.com. I copied the ISO to my HD using WINHIIP 1.7.3. When I run HDloader 7c within HDadvance, it boots up fine and gives me the blue HD logo followed by the list of games I have on the HD. However, when I try to run a game (any game), the screen goes black and nothing happens. These games all seem to work fine in HDadvance (save GoW).

My question is... Can I run HDloader in HDadvance as if it were a game AND run games from within HDloader after it has been launched? If so, what am I doing wrong? Do I need to enable any of the HDadvance modes? I've tried enabling mode 3 for hdl with no change.

Im not an expert here but I do have HD advance.
Loader and advance are software that allow an interface to boot games from the HDD and in my opinion I would treat them a little like an OS on a P.C.
Can you run windows XP in windows 98.???
I believe you would need to re-format your drive using HD loader to do what you want and lose previous games loaded by HD advance.
However, i might be wrong.
Did you set compatability modes in hd loader before booting the game?

Thanks for the response!

From my understanding, HDloader and HDadvance the same application aside from a few small "hacked" features (which I would imagine have been added to hdl .7c). They can both read the same type of partition, etc.

In any case, yes, I checked compaitibility modes within hdloader and while 7c doesn't appear to be as straight-forward as hdadvance, it appears that it reads the saved compatibility modes from hdadvance. Either way, I played with the compatibility settings in 7c for quite a while with no luck.

And yes, you can run xp in 98...not that you'd want to, but it's possible. ;-)
