I have three fat Ps2s that have problems powering up. I will list the scenatios:

Ps2 #1= Model Number SCPH-35001
This one never powered on since i got it. I never opened t up or anything.

Ps2 #2= Model Number SCPH-39001
This one powered on but after i opened it up and played socom but after i opened it, it stopped powering on.

Ps2 #3= Model Number SCPH-30001
This one also powered on but made loud clicking noises. I assumed it was a disk read error so i opened it up but after I closed it nothing worked or powered on.

Please help.

check the sliver ribbons and make sure they are not damaged in any way this is the ribbon connected to the power reset buttons. If they are damaged or split you will have to replace them. If this isnt the problem get a cicuit checker and sit near the power supply after opening the ps2 up and check the resistors and capacitors if you can they are usually first to blow if there is a psu problem

I got ps2 # 1 to work it was a ribbon problem but now all it does is after the splash screen it just freezes where it says Browser ANd stuff.

im not an expert for these things basically on the psu which detaches from the mainboard by a few pins what should be there is loads of little compenents i dont have a diagram and its kinda hard to explain seen as its different for each model someone else may post a diagram which im hoping for but just checkk the connections to make sure there live and look for visible damage such as blackness or melting also it may sound weird but have a sniff around it too.

Just please make sure youve left the system off for ages because i got a terrible electric shock when doing this once.
