When I wwatch a copied movie it either skips or freezes. Does anyone know how to stop this? It just started a few months ago. Some movies are worse than others. I also have tried a few that won't decrypt. It will get to about 3-11% then stop. Can anyone help with also?

There are a few questions you'll need to answer :
1. What kind of media are you using
2. Which decrypter program are you using
3. Which burning software are you using
4. What speed do you burn at

How do I know what kind of media it is? I'm not very smart when it come to all of this. Sorry!! I'm using DVD Decrypter. Not sure which version it is though. I also use DVD Shrink 3.2. And as for the speed I'm not sure. It soes say read rate 4.7x. I'm sorry I'm not much help. But I appreciate yours!!

The "kind of media" just means what brand it is (it would help to know if it was DVD-R or DVD+R too). As for the speed, if you don't manually set it lower, you're probably burning it at max speed, which is likely 4x or 8x. When you open DVD Decrypter in ISO write mode, the lower right hand corner has a drop down list that lets you choose what speed you burn at.

Ok thanks! Your right it is writing at max speed. I have DVD+RW. When you say media brand, are you talking about the brand of dvd's I'm using?

Yes, media means your discs. Do you mean your BURNER is DVD+RW or you are burning on DVD+RW discs? It is strongly recommended that you never ever use +RW or -RW discs in a PS2, as they will stress the laser much more than plain +R or -R discs.

My burner is a DVD+RW and I'm using DVD+R disc. Right now I'm using Staples brand. I had the best luck with a brad the Walmart used called Durabrand. When they stopped making those they put out Ilo. Those did good also. Memorex did ok but they still skipped some. Do you think the reason they are skipping so bad is the Staple brand? If so what is a good, cheap brand to use for movies that will last and not skip?

When it comes to media, good and cheap usually don't go hand in hand. Look for Fuji 8x DVD+R, and make sure its printed Made in Japan. That should be pretty good quality media.

They're just rebranded Taiyo Yuden discs, which you can also get online fairly cheaply too (about $.42 ea, in bulk). Oh and toss the Staples discs too; they're crap.

for movies you may also want to use a program more suited
for doing movies. DVD Decrypter is much better
at doing games than movies.
DVD Shrink works very well and is free
Also when burning make sure you do not have any programs
running in the backround like antivirus software or anything
the computer needs all the memory it can get when burning.
also don't use the computer at all while burning them
better media should solve the problem.
TY, TDK, Philips, Verbatim, Ritek G04 are all good choices
i use a combo of two programs
Anydvd and Clonedvd2
can't go wrong with those two
they do a top notch job. I have never had a bad burn with them
but they are $40 each to buy

"DVD Decrypter is much better at doing games than movies."

When it comes to burning, yes. But DVD Decrypter's main functionality itself is still of course centered around DVD Movies. Specifically, decrypting the CSS stream. Nero Burning ROM probably has the best options for DVD video burning.
