I booted my PS2 w/ my SM v2.0 CD, when prompted I inserted my HD Loader disk - now on the screen all it says

PS2 Independence Compiler
Code: Sjeep
Exploit: Marcus R. Brown

Installation Complete

I have placed the game CD in or anything. I thought this would give me the ability to format the drive and load my games??

Help, I am ready to pull my hair out! lol :)

it doesn't sound like that disc you loaded is hd loader.

That's waht It says when you have sucessfully installed the exploit...
what .elf did you choose for the boot? But if you have the actual HD Loader disc go here http://www.exploitstation.com/articles/hdloader_independence.php
I hope this helps...I'm not really sure what you are trying to do....If you're trying to format the HDD the disc should do it on its own...

I got this working last night.
My goal was to use a hard drive in my PS2. So I wanted to use HDLoader to format the drive and load the games.

I am developing a tutorial (for Newbied) as I ended up making 15 coasters prior to a successful endnig. Doh!
